Germán Berterame and Rodrigo De Paul scored against New York City FC, and Lionel Messi set up De Paul's goal. Miami then won 3-1 at Atlanta United on Saturday, 17 October. Germán Berterame scored first and Lionel Messi added two second-half goals, taking him to 25 MLS goals this season. A "Yes" contract on Inter Miami to win MLS Cup pays $1 if they lift the trophy on 18 December and $0 if they are knocked out. Round One is a best-of-three series and a game can end in a penalty shootout, so read each market's rules: a game contract may settle on the 90-minute result, while a series contract settles on who goes through.
